1.?Tell us about you, and your husband/wife!?
Hi All Things Carly readers! I'm Danielle, from the blog Sometimes Sweet. I'm so excited to be over here on Carly's blog talking about how much I love being married to my best friend. My husband's name is Hank, and we live in a small town in the mountains of Northern Arizona, along with our 14-month old son Henry and our Boston Terrier Madeline. I'm a stay-at-home Mom, and my husband works for one of our family businesses.?
?
2.?How did you meet each other? Tell us about your first date!
Hank and I met at a mutual friend's house while he was on tour with his band. It was literally love at first sight (I never believed in it before that day in August 2004) and when we saw each other later that night at his show our feelings were confirmed. Because he was still on tour, we ended up writing letters for a few weeks before we ever talked on the phone or went on a date. Once he got home though, he immediately drove down and took me on our very first date to a vegan restaurant, followed by seeing the movie Garden State. If you want to read a very detailed version of "our story," feel free to check it out on my blog.

3.?What was your opinion of relationships, love and marriage before meeting your now husband/wife?
I'd always been a romantic at heart, but I absolutely hated commitment because I was always a bit of a free spirit. I loved being able to do as I pleased, and I was notorious for getting sick of guys soon after getting "serious." It sounds horrible, but it's true. I also never expected to get married at a young age, but once you meet the right person, I believe all bets are off!?
?
4.?At what point in your relationship did you know you were in love?
Even though Hank and I both call it "love at first sight" I really feel like it was about a month into our relationship where I fully fell in love with him. It happened quickly, and I knew he was the person I wanted to spend my life with.?

5.?Tell us about your engagement!?

6.?Tell us about your Wedding! ( Did you face any issues during planning? Did you come across any adversities due to ages, or disapproval from friends or family? Big wedding, small wedding? )
We had a huge wedding and I think back to it now and it seems like a dream. We invited close to 300 guests and I planned out every single detail. It was truly magical and I feel so lucky I got to have my dream day. It's funny though, because looking back now we sometimes say we would have preferred to just elope and have a private little ceremony on an island somewhere. For our honeymoon we spent a couple weeks in an overwater bungalow on the tiny island of Moorea, French Polynesia, and always joke we should have just skipped the wedding and done it there. I've also written about my wedding in great detail on my blog, so head on over?if you'd like to see a million photos.
?
7.?What song did you dance to for your first dance?
Love Me Tender by Elvis
?
8.?Do you have any goals as a married couple?
Totally. We like to look at our marriage like we're on the same team (Team Hampton!), and treat each other as equals and partners. It important to us to always live our life together this way.?
?
9.?Any advice for newly engaged, or newly wed couples?
The main thing I'd say to newlywed couples is to just enjoy the stage you're in. I can remember feeling like I wanted to rush everything- I wanted to buy our first home, get pregnant, etc...and I feel lucky that Hank snapped me out of that way of thinking. Now I look back so fondly at those times living in our adorable, rented historic home, sleeping in our little bed, life pre-Henry, and it's amazing to see how far we've come over the past 8 years. So my best advice is to take is slow, and really be in every moment...you'll never get them back again!
?
10.?Has your opinion of love changed since your relationship started?
It's only gotten stronger.?
?
11.?Where do you see yourselves in 10 years! Individually, and as a married couple!
Individually, I hope to be a published writer living out that part of the dream I have for myself. As a married couple, I hope to have a couple more children and be just as happy as we are today. Simple.
